Picket Fence Bernedoodles is a small, family-operated Bernedoodle breeder located 30 minutes south of Des Moines in the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Iowa. Our dogs have a hilltop view of a picturesque valley, providing for a perfect setting for raising your future furry family member.

All of our dogs are our pets and members of our family. They have plenty of room to roam here in the country and live the life every dog deserves.  Just as you will, our entire family spends a lot of time with our dogs and puppies. Extra attention ensures a healthy and well-socialized puppy.

We have had Bernedoodles for almost 10 years now!  We only raise 3-4 litters a year, which allows us to provide the best care for the puppies and their parents. Our ultimate goal is to raise happy and healthy puppies and place them in loving forever homes.

We have a brand new, modern, clean and comfortable kennel that is perfect for taking optimal care of our dogs.  We designed and built our kennel with all of the doggie amenities including a professional-grade wash and grooming area.  Our dogs love choosing to be inside in the AC/Heat or outside in the fresh air. There is a playground for them to run and play in. We installed an additional one acre play area this year.  We also take them on frequent walks.  They have acres and acres to run and explore with our family and live their best doggie life.  

Purchasing a puppy from us, you can expect a very personal experience.  We know all of our puppies and parents very well. We can help you choose a pup that works best for you. 

We are available for questions and updates on your puppy while it is under our care.   After you pick up your puppy we are also available for questions or with any help you may need concerning your pup and the transition. We love to get updates and often hear from families for years.

When we first started most people didn’t know what a Bernedoodle was!  They have gained a lot of popularity recently. Our pups have done exceedingly well as family dogs and even working therapy dogs, with years of outstanding reviews and testimonials. We have carefully chosen bloodlines and temperaments to ensure intelligence, good temperament and good health.
